A good school in a good neighborhood with good teachers. Most of the stuff is average. The teachers are always friendly and good at teaching. The only problem I have is with the administration and bullying. They added a system on the school-issued Chromebooks where you can report bullying, but I've never seen anything happen to the offender after the report. Some kids in my grade were threatened by some kids in the middle of the snack break and after reporting it, the defenders got in trouble. There is also a massive problem with kids making disruptions in class and nothing is done about it. Good students are prevented from learning because the administration can't be bothered with doing something with the disruptive students.
The school is good. The teachers are good. I agree with the teachers for getting mad at the students because some behave bad.
I love it. It is a very friendly environment and I love coming back every day. The teachers provide a good learning experience.
Average school. Diversity is very low and there are not a lot of clubs. Administration and teachers can be very nice or very rude.
Excellence is the expectation. It’s true! Curriculum standards, safety, health, parents. it’s a family joint by a city, a community with respect To the future of our kids. The city has everything with-in 3 miles. Virtual school is amazing. Expectations continue virtually with daily work of the students, and staff.
Expect two hours of homework every single day starting in 3rd grade. Also, bullying is out of control. switching schools next years
I graduated ACES in 2017, and it was the best 8 years of my life. The teachers were very good at teaching and they taught me many life lessons. I used to get bad grades like D’s and C’s in the start of middle school, but then I started pushing myself. I found my love for math in 7th grade and I started being the best in my class. I should’ve asked administration to put me in advanced, but I didn’t because I was too scared because of my behavior in class. I’m now a junior in high school taking several AP and honors classes. I went from the idiotic class clown to someone who’s smart. If I had a son, I’d definitely send him to this school. I also wanted to mention that no matter what, someone will always find friends to hangout with in school. If you’re transferring from another school, it will not even take a week for you to find a friend. I’ve seen kids transfer, and on their first day, they already found a friend group to hangout with. I highly recommend this school.
I am a parent of two students at ACES. Both my children are incredibly happy in the school. It is an educational setting that promotes nurturing pastoral care of all students and high standards of education. I feel my children are engaged in their learning and feel part of an extended family/ school community. The teachers are dedicated to the students and show a willingness to engage with parents when a student encounters difficulties , either with their academic studies or peer group.
It is a school that highly regards and celebrates diversity of culture and promotes acceptance of all its students and their families. Go Aces.
Great I love it there is action and that is what I need at times
There I drama and gossip and it makes me happy that there is some action that keeps you on your toes
I am in a new private, boring school which makes me miss ACES so much don't leave the place if you know what is good for you
As a middle school student at ACES i think it is an overall great school. Everywhere you go there is going to be a popular clique and some mean kids but they’re not that bad. The teachers are very nice and patient with bad kids. I agree the office could use a school nurse, i’ve had a few bad experiences there. The principle is a very responsible and really cares about the school. I live very far from the school and there is usually a lot of traffic but once i arrive there are police officers to guide the traffic into school and it makes me feel very safe.
I am a middle school student at this school and its been a bumpy ride.
Elementary school was great but one thing to point out is that their is no nurse its just a room they put you in to sit alone in, their are really high rates of making fun of people and most kids are brainwashed by popularity they don't care about any of the students problems and the bullying is so out of hand some students have to miss lunch and class. They give way too much homework and projects and some middle schoolers even vaped or did drugs in the bathroom multiple times and never get caught. Advanced classes are full with cheaters that keep the class from failing.
I never went to the school nurse but I know there's an armed security officer always at the school, so it is pretty safe.
